One day in Munich – Short, but adventures activities to fill your stay

Escape Room (approx. 1 hour)

Crime Scene or a crazy professor’s labour – solve puzzle/riddles to end the game and to escape the room. You always have one hour, which makes this a fun and fast activity for only one day in Munich. Some of the Escape Games are offered also in English language, so tourists can enjoy them as well.

Climbing the Olympia Tower (approx. 30 min)

Visit the famous Olympia Park and climb its famous tower. From there you have a great view on Munich. You can also climb the 299 stairs up to the roof of the Peterskirche behind the Marienplatz. From there you have a fascinating overview of whole munich. So you can see the whole city by only spending one day in Munich.

Enjoy a great view at a rooftop terrace (approx. 1 hour)

Lots of restaurant and hotels in Munich offer a rooftop lounge. Enjoy a great view over the city while having a good meal or drink. Visit ,,Blue Spa & Lounge Terrasse’’, ,,Mandarin oriental’’,,,Rooftop Sessions’’ or the ,,Bar of Bel Air’’. If you have only one day in Munich, you should definitely not miss one of those terraces.

Shopping from Stachus to the Marienplatz (approx. 2 hours)

While staying one day in Munich you should not miss Marienplatz and Karlsplatz. Admire the Old Town in Munich while shopping. Watch the New Town Hall and Old Town Hall at the famous Marienplatz and then go for a walk through the street and shop in the shopping centres and stores until you reach the Karlsplatz (Stachus). Of course you can also change the route by starting at Stachus making your way to the Marienplatz.

Visit the Viktualienmarkt (approx. 1 hour)

The market stalls offer fresh fruits and vegetables, spicery, flowers, of course along with local specialties. Thus the Viktualienmarkt is one of the best places to enjoy a Bavarian breakfast or Brotzeit – a must while staying only one day in Munich. Treat yourself with a pretzel, Bratwurst or Leberkassemmel.

Visit the mindblowing Asamkirche (approx. 20 min)

Pompous baroque design at its finest! Although the Asamkirche is tiny and less known, it is definitely worth a visit while spending one day in Munich. You’re allowed to photograph there anything you want. The interior design is considered to be one of the best examples of late German baroque architecture.

Christmas Market (approx. 30 min)
